תניא אמר רב יוסף מעשה בשיחין באחד שהניח לו אביו שלשה בדי חרדל ונפשח אחד מהן ונמצאו בו תשעה קבין חרדל ועציו סיככו בו סוכת יוצרין: אמר ר"ש בן תחליפא קלח של כרוב הניח לנו אבא והיינו עולים ויורדים בו בסולם

It was taught: R. Joseph said: It once happened to someone at Shihin to whom his father had left three twigs of mustard. And one of these split and in it was found nine kav of mustard, and its wood sufficed to cover a potter’s hut. Shimon b. Tahlifa said. Our father left us a cabbage stalk and we ascended and descended it by means of a ladder.
