(שופטים ו, כה) ויהי בלילה ההוא ויאמר [לו ה'] קח את פר השור אשר לאביך ופר השני שבע שנים והתם מוקצה בלחוד הוה

And a Tanna of the School of R'Ishmael taught: Whenever the term hashhatha [corruption] is used [in the Scriptures] it refers to lewdness<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Illicit sexual relations.');">³⁸</span>
