שנאמר (שיר השירים ג, ז) הנה מטתו שלשלמה ששים גבורים סביב לה מגבורי ישראל כולם אחוזי חרב מלומדי מלחמה איש חרבו על יריכו מפחד בלילות מפחדה של גיהנם שדומה ללילה

R. Josiah, or, according to others, R. Nahman b. Isaac, gave the followingexposition: What is the meaning of the verse, <i>O house of David, thus saiththe Lord: Execute justice in the morning and deliver the spoiled out of thehand of the oppressor!</i><span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Jer. XXI, 12. ');"><sup>2</sup></span> Is it onlyin the morning that one acts as judge and not during the whole day? — No,it means: If the judgment you are about to give is clear to you as the morning[light], give it; but if not, do not give it.

They responded: "Say to Wisdom, my sister are you!" (Proverbs 7:4) - "if something is as clear to you as the prohibition of your sister, only then speak it." (Sanhedrin 7b:2) And who can truly examine and calculate how much flavour was exuded from a spoon? Some time later they responded: "One was Abraham," (Ezekiel 33:24) "Incline after the majority." (Exodus 23:2) *i.e., the opinion of R. Abraham b. David is rejected.
