Halakhah for Sanhedrin 41:11
מתקיף לה רבינא אימא כהנה תרתי סרי וכהנה עשרין וארבע
— Rab said: Eglah is Michal.And why was she called Eglah? Because she was beloved by him, as an Eglah[calf] by its mother. And thus it is said, If ye had not ploughed with myheifer etc.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Of Delilah, Judges XIV, 18. ');"><sup>20</sup></span> But did Michal havechildren? Is it not written, And Michal the daughter of Saul had no childunto the day of her death.?<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' II Sam. VI, 23. ');"><sup>21</sup></span>

From the laws of the commandments is that which they, may their memory be blessed, said (Sanhedrin 21a) that it is permitted to marry up until eighteen wives, but not more - and even if they are like Avigail, who was righteous, alacritous and good. [This] and the rest of its details are in the second chapter of Sanhedrin. And this is from the commandments which are only upon the king.
