מתני׳ <big><strong>אלו</strong></big> דברים שבין בית שמאי ובין בית הלל בסעודה בית שמאי אומרים מברך על היום ואחר כך מברך על היין ובית הלל אומרים מברך על היין ואחר כך מברך על היום

MISHNAH The following are the points of variance between Bet Shammai and Bet Hillel in connection with the meal. Bet Shammai say : [On a Sabbath or Festival] one pronunces the benediction over the day and then over the wine ; but Bet Hillel say : He pronounces the benediction over the wine and afterwards over the day.
