Midrash for Taanit 7:12

אמר לה הקב"ה בתי את שואלת דבר שפעמים מתבקש ופעמים אינו מתבקש אבל אני אהיה לך דבר המתבקש לעולם שנאמר (הושע יד, ו) אהיה כטל לישראל

'Which I commanded not': This refers to the sacrifice of the son of Mesha, the king of Moab, as it is said, Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead and offered him for a burnt-offering.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' II Kings III, 27.');"><sup>12</sup></span> 'Nor spake it'; This refers to the daughter of Jephtha.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' [So MS.M., cur. ed., 'this refers to Jephtha'.]');"><sup>13</sup></span>

Others say: "which I did not command": This refers to the son of Meisha the king of Moav (viz. II Kings 3:27); "and which I did not speak": This refers to the daughter of Yiftach (viz. (Judges 11:31-40); "and which never entered My heart": This refers to Isaac, the son of Abraham (viz. Bereshith 22).
